an artist in an academic world, surrounded by street noise and impossibility, living amid those who struggle…

i am currently attempting to write 30 poems in 30 days. if that goes well, i will keep writing one poem per day for as long as possible. they won’t all be long, or even good, but they will exist. perhaps i am attempting to document what i believe are going to be some fairly intense times…i don’t know. but i believe that writing is always better than not writing, and poetry is always better than everything else. i hope i learn something about myself in the process, although that hasn’t been a problem recently.

good luck on this project. i’ve attempted similar exercises and they usually fail, sadly enough. i think you just need to set aside that “poem-moment” each day no matter what. that way things will be getting written and composed. i like the revisions to the site as well. nice work starticus maximus, poetus inspiritus of ze masses!
