unisex bathrooms everywhere are full of shitting men while trannys get murdered next door for trying to pee in public

and no one talks about queer holocaust victims
or mentions the effects of legal discrimination
so i guess i shouldn’t be surprised when you look at me that way
but i am not the enemy
i didn’t steal your girlfriend
i don’t want your straight male privilege
and i understand that you’re threatened by me
but i would really like to take a piss without watching my back

fears of violence should not interrupt bodily functions and when they do we might as well beat the shit out of the bill of rights and leave it tied to a fence in wyoming so it can die a lonely death

because we have not done a single god damn thing to help real people struggling everyday to achieve the type of peace in their body that most people are born with

we did not stand up and demand employment and housing for everyone not to mention health care and we certainly did not defend a version of marriage that separates church from state

but we have been really fucking great at supporting assimilationist causes and getting out the message “not to worry because queers are just like everyone else”

and we’ve been even better at taking the scraps handed down to us
we look our oppressors in the eye and smile

like i’m supposed to be happy that new york will recognize same-sex marriages from other states without thinking they have no right to tell me how to love

and what’s even worse is the discrimination faced by trans people within queer communities we do not go through this shit to infiltrate and destroy lesbian feminism it is not a conspiracy to get men into the michigan womyn’s festival

stop manipulating trans identities for the good of your own political cause stop perpetuating the idea that hormones and surgery are the answer for everyone that makes you no better than them

life is not a taxonomy class we are not all men or women it is not that simple i am here to tell you it is not that easy so

don’t be afraid to tell kids they don’t have to decide and definitely do not hesitate to tell elders to fuck off when they lead you astray
